first of all I would like to apologize to my partner last night at Monroe for smoking cigarettes had no idea it bothered you. In future reference anyone who has a problem with me smoking during an event please tell me before the round and I will do my best to keep downwind and well away. I in no way want to interfere with anyone's game and if it means I have to bite the bullet and not smoke at all then so be it. we all want everyone to have a good time

Bummer that was an issue. I didn't realize in open air that could be that much of a problem, then again I am a smoker as well

Allowing your smoke to affect other golfers is a courtesy violation. So, it has happened before. The key is to be aware and stand down wind. Heck I've smelled players that should stand down wind always.

I respect the fact smoke bothers a few people...and I mean a FEW. But if someone told me I was getting a penalty stroke for smoking during a casual event, I would seriously laugh and tell them to get a life.
