Did some cutting on 18's long green, if anyone wants to put on some gloves, jeans, boots, and pull those thorny bastards up to the wood pile at the top of the hill it would be greatly appreciated. I think i'm going to rent a forestry saw and dethorn that area once and for all...we will have that pin in for the June 7th tournament. Also, a French drain is going in on hole#2's teepad in the next couple of weeks, if ya see a guy with a mini excavator working on hole 2 please skip it and move on to hole 3. Thanks!

Anyone planning to work on Osage today? I would like to help but I am not overly familiar with the course, other than having played it a few times.

Your ok Paul, when your ready just contact Andrew Miller to arrange picking up your donation, his cell is 513-602-0637 or email at andrewdmiller1982@gmail.comAll other sponsors can do the same as soon as they are ready, right now there is no funding till we get these tee sponsors signs sold, all funds cover the costs of all the materials needed to finish the tees and signs, Club is covering the alternate sleeves and other minor costs...Thanks to all those that have helped and supported us so far, could not have been possible with out you. Since I am now full time working for the sport I will not be able to commit as much time as I have in the past on the course so Andrew will need a lot more help this year and so on. I have numerous other course projects coming up soon to work on as well. I will still be working on Osage, just not as much as before, we have everything planned down to the last detail, and as of Dec 30 2013 we have a total of 2013.5 volunteer hours in the books....

We'll be putting a french drain in on two in the near future, we'll need to spread mulch, don't have a day nailed down but when we do I'll post it. In addition, I will be cutting the rest of 18's long green on Thursday and then hitting the other alternative greens on Saturday. So their will be plenty of downed brambles, brush, and saplings to rake and stack....

Erwin, one of the commissioners, is a retired volunteer fireman and has the permits and know how to handle burn piles, that is why there are a few piles of debris around the course.
I will be stopping out there soon to mark the remaining trees for removal, then Drew and others will supervise all the other projects. Tee sponsors should contact Drew and get there money in so we can continue building the course. Thanks guys for all the support.

Drew needs some help today guys...^^^^^
@ Drew and everyone else, the 19th is more important to be at Burnet Woods to show support for us and Cincinnati Parks, this is Annual Clean Up days week and since we always have a decent showing and get a lot of work done they in turn waive fees and increase their support for our courses. There are big plans coming up at Burnet and this is a crucial time to show we care.
April 19th at Burnet Woods, starts at 9am till about Noon with pizza lunch provided afterward. I have about 6 or more confirmed so far but could use more. Let me know asap if you plan to help out so we can get what we need and ensure everyone will get enough pizza...Thanks guys.
Sorry Drew, not trying to take away from Osage that day, not like we can't have both going on....

Hey Drew,
Had to hit work this morning and got there at 12:30PM. Didn't see anyone so I started on long 18, but didn't have the right gloves for that work. Switched to 1 and 2, cleared fairways and moved cut brush. Finished about 3PM. Course looks better each time I see it!

No, I actually played this weekend, Shillito Open on Friday, Old City Open on Saturday, A.J. on Sunday, and then I did take Monday off to work at the house and out at the course but mother nature didn't agree. We have leagues tomorrow, I plan on moving the baskets afterwards. Hopefully the weather cooperates either Thursday or Friday, Kurt said he would try and mow and I wanted to take out the brambles between hole 10 & 11 as well as cleaning up some snags on 6 and 8....we'll see if it happens....

Big thanks to Kurt Lahm for getting the mower out today out at Goshen. The baskets are in the shorts but we could use some help still if anyone has time tomorrow:
Hole 5. Two small downed trees need to be pulled off the fairway Hole 6. Cut Honey suckle to the right of the Ash tree needs to be pulled and stashed off the fairway. Hole 8. One downed small tree in the fairway, needs to be dragged off along with honey suckle on the left side of the entry way onto the green. Hole 11. All those tagged smaller trees are down and need to be pulled off the fairway. Hole 18. Cut some of the stumps, they just need to be thrown off the fairway.
If someone can get to this it should free me up to getting those briars out on the left side of 11's fairway.

This Sunday I am off and will be out at Osage and could use some help. I will be installing the long pin on H18 and marking for the alternate tees and pins while others will be working with Drew clearing where needed. Bring tools and gloves and if you have questions just call me or Drew. 513-255-7275
