i hate to be stereotypical but wouldn't a disc golf tourney on april 20th (saturday) be a great way to "celebrate the holiday" for most of the players in the field? although i prefer sunday events because it's easier for me to get off work as opposed to saturdays, i just thought it would be a funny coincidence.

that is great stuff alex and im sure im not the only one who would like a date change lol but im not a member yet so my vote probly doesnt count and if we dont get one i think we should hold our own tourney somewhere im only a rec player, and actually we partnered in the burg dubs one night, but id be willing to run it though i am sure with "unfreindly" eyes on this post we'd better behave outrselves alittle hahaha

Any chance we could include Hueston Woods this year? The course has shaped up a lot and deserves a tournament, with Oxford out of the picture it seems like a nice replacement.

There is a tourny at Belmont on the 20th hence ours is on the 21st and the birdie bash. Almost every weekend has an event scheduled in our area, between the GCFDA, Dayton, Nati, and several other smaller clubs and individuals/TD`s running so many events there will be a ton of choices this year. We all have been working on this years schedule for the past 3 months or more.
Hueston will not be on this years CCS but it could for next year, myself and others need to visit the course and see how it is progressing and I have been communicating with Hank on this also.

FYI, Hueston Woods is way good for a course challenge- except, IMO, the last hole needs a line off the tee. Right now it plays like Idlewild #16 before any trees were taken out. Last year Hank and his crew took that course from 'no way' to 'hell yes' btw the course record is -9 set by Ninja Steve Sydock. Also Adam, I was wondering if there was a trophy or something for the overall winners from 2012?

2012 CCS trophies will be presented at the first CCS this year, as we have in preceding years.

You probably already know this, but just in-case you don't, the flyer that just came in the mail from the GCFDA says that the Harbin course challenge is March 23, but it says March 30th on here....

Update: May 11th is the Monroe CCS to which we are still working out the details of keeping this as a combined event with Dayton. Originally planned for the 4th but due to the Parks having their baseball Grand opening parade and events all weekend we only have 1 option that month which is the 11th. This was our first choice but we didn`t want to compete with the BHMO Ams weekend in C-Bus but now we have no choice.

Is there anyway you could swap the course challenge with another one. To save the conflict??

This Saturday is our first Course Challenge at Harbin Park. I am looking to see if anyone would be willing to help Dave Marlow set up and take down the baskets for A, B, C & D. Any help would be appreciated.

they are the holes for the Flying Pig layout.
I can help with some of the holes as well Tony. Should we get there at a certain time?

The added holes are after hole 4 and before hole 5. The holes that we take out are 14-17. So you still play 18. Now if we get over 90 people, we are able to add back those holes. We have had to do this before.
As for the temp baskets...I will try to find out when Dave thinks he will get there, and then let you know.
